Nassfeld 3-6th April   Karniche Alpen West of Villach south in Austria

and then to Hermagor)

We stayed at "The Cube " at Tropolach base station.  The Millennium-Express took us every day from no snow at 610m, to enough snow at 1919m.

Salzburg 6-7thApril   Mozart was born here and worked here.  A beautiful city.

I stayed at the Star
Inn Salzburg Zentrum
.  It is situated at the
old town south of the river.
When walking back through the old
town, people were coming out of the
concert hall, all dressed up in their finest costume.
Salzburg is a happy, beautiful and cultural town.

Badgastein/Sportgastein 7-9thApril   Old spa place mixed with young off-piste place

Badgastein
    mountain

Felsentherme
(massage etc and
swimming) opposite
the railway station.

I wondered why
the "sun beds"
where not taken.
When I sat down
in one, I got to
know why; they
cost 4 Euros, though
with a blanket.

Bad Gastein
is very hilly.
No wonder this
is a healthy
place.  You get
your heart
pumping when
walking up and
down the hill.

The centre of Bad Gastein.  The old centre is further below.
Up here the sun is shining longer and the after ski can
                                                                                                                                            continue longer.

Zell am See

Just a drive-through.  From here you can easily get to Saalbach and Kaprun.

Solden 9-11thApril   "Big 3" (3250m , 3058m and 3340m) Stubaier Alpen

Queue on the
Gletcherexpress.

Solden is divided
in two with the
"Rettenback tal".
Down to this
valley there
are lots of off-
piste routes
and here there is
no wind.
During easter,
the wind was
coming south
to north.

The Gaislachkogl.
This was really
boring slope wise.
Here is where
the off-piste
slopes are.
